Not every washer noise indicates a repair issue. Load balance, fasteners, coins, water valves, and normal spin sounds can all change what you hear.
Slow draining often starts outside the washer with a kinked hose or restricted drain, but a pump or sensing issue can also be involved.
Where the water appears is the best clue. Start with hoses, the standpipe, door area, and detergent use before opening the machine.
A washer that does not start may be waiting for a setting or door condition rather than showing a major mechanical problem.
Odors usually build up when food debris or standing water remains in the dishwasher. Cleaning and proper draining are the first priorities.
